Turku Pride 2025: dates, parade, events

Turku Pride returns from 25–31 August 2025, bringing a full week of events that centre on visibility, solidarity, and community. The highlight falls on Saturday 30 August, when thousands will take to the streets to march for equality in the annual Pride Parade before gathering in Puolalanpuisto for the Pride Park Party.

With a rich programme of cultural, social, and political events throughout the week, Turku Pride celebrates the city’s vibrant LGBTQIA+ community while advocating for safer spaces and equal rights.

    The Parade

The Pride Parade begins gathering at 11am on Saturday before stepping off at 12pm, 30 August. Starting from 9th Avenue SE and continuing along a route of just over two kilometres, the march is designed with accessibility in mind, including support assistants along the route and designated blocks for those who walk at a slower pace. Expect rainbow flags, handmade signs, plenty of noise, and an atmosphere of solidarity and joy. As always, the parade is open to everyone — community blocks, organisations, and individuals alike — with Finnish sign language interpreters accompanying the march to ensure inclusivity.

    Pride Park Party

After the parade, celebrations continue from 1pm to 4pm in Puolalanpuisto. The park party is a vibrant gathering filled with speeches, performances, and community engagement. Attendees can connect with local organisations, discover the work of Pride’s partners, and raise their voices for rainbow rights. Accessibility remains a priority, with induction loops, marked service points, accessible toilets, and general assistants on site to support participants. The party also follows safer space principles, with harassment contact persons in pink vests ensuring a welcoming environment for all.

    Evening Party

Turku Pride keeps the energy alive well into the night with its official evening party at Saaristobaari, running from 6pm to 2am. This event combines queer joy with unforgettable entertainment, beginning with outrageous bingo hosted by Tuhmatuka and Bingolutka before giving way to dazzling burlesque performances from BurRakka. On stage, Finland’s disco duo VGR and rising star Safetybox bring the beats, with DJ Soffe spinning tracks into the early hours. Hosted by the fabulous Eva Euforia, the party also features participation from Turku’s local queer associations. Tickets range from €8–20, available in advance or at the door, with all proceeds supporting Pride. Age limit: 18+.

    Pride Week Activities

Beyond the parade and parties, Turku Pride offers a diverse programme throughout the week. Highlights include the Rainbow in Healthcare seminar, the TuSeta sports group walk, and a bilingual Rainbow Fair celebrating inclusion across communities. Creative initiatives such as Youth Turku Pride’s Love Poem Project and the Looking to the Future exhibition with Turku Art Loan showcase the voices of the next generation. Additional events continue into early September, including an open skate trial session, ensuring Pride’s impact extends beyond the main weekend.
